Our ICM African National leaders and their staff need our help!
Never in our living history have we experienced anything like the Coronavirus Pandemic, not since the Spanish Flu of 1918 that killed 675,000 people in the US and an estimated 50 Million world-wide. While we in the US navigate through an unprecedented series of lockdowns, shutdowns, and safety measures, we now face the additional threat of economic strain and even collapse. It is encouraging to see the government take measures to protect and care for citizens but also to see the church, the followers of Christ respond. Titus 3:14 says, “And let our people learn to devote themselves to good works, so as to help cases of urgent need, and not be unfruitful.”
As much as we feel the effects here at home, it is multiplied in Africa where our national leaders and their teams serve so many pastors and other leaders. The number of COVID-19 cases in the 24+ countries where we serve are far fewer than those in the US, but the measures taken to protect against its spread are having a devastating effect on their wellbeing.
