International Christian Ministries (ICM) is committed to training and equipping leaders across Africa and the Middle East. To accomplish this important task ICM works through three main ministries:

Christian Leadership Institute (CLI)

African leaders are growing in their ability to teach and minister in their congregations.  While most pastors and Christian leaders have little or no theological education they have great passion for Christ and those He has called them to serve.  Recognizing the need for ongoing training and equipping, ICM launched the Christian Leadership Institute (CLI). This is a non-formal training program bringing some of the best training available to African leaders.  Partnerships with Walk Thru the Bible, Equip, Willow Creek (GLS), Purpose Driven Ministries and many others enable our staff and trainers to provide critical inservice learning opportunities to thousands of leaders across Africa.

Africa Theological Seminary (ATS)

Early in our journey leaders from the region asked that we consider launching a formal training program that would allow them to stay in the ministry but also gain the skills and recognition that comes from formal training.  In 1992 ICM launch Africa Theological Seminary in Kitale Kenya.  Learners come to the campus three times a year for up to five weeks to take classes and participate in a learning community.  ATS now has campuses in six countries and is regionally accredited.

Discipling Marketplace Leaders (DML)

ICM’s Discipling Marketplace Leaders initiative shifts the emphasis from programs to people. It empowers pastors to equip their members to live and be the Church each day of the week throughout their communities. This vital ICM program is launching local churches into marketplace ministry, by discipling every member to be a marketplace ambassador. These ambassadors take the equipping from the four walls of the church to fill every corner of the community.
