Caring for the well being of students so that they can be trained, instructed and empowered for the Glory of God.

Bernard Chege is the Chaplain and Dean of Students at Africa Theological Seminary (ATS). He also teaches in the Certificate and Diploma programs. As the Chaplain, Bernard oversees chapels, mentoring, accountability groups and fellowships. As Dean of Students, he is responsible for the well being of students as well as presenting their needs to the administration. Bernard’s greatest joy is seeing pastors receive formal training. Bernard grew up in Nakuru county (Kenya) and has a Diploma in Theology from Kaimosi Bible College and a Bachelor in Bible and Theology from ATS. He has served with ATS since 2003.

XYXY, Bernard, Stanley, Lois & Grace

Bernard’s wife, Lois, also grew up in Nakuru county. Lois also serves with ATS as adjunct faculty teaching both Certificate and Diploma courses. She also serves in women’s ministry along with conducting seminars and conferences. Bernard and Lois have three children. XYXY (who has completed university), Stanley (studying Business Administration and IT in college) and Grace (high school).
