Purpose ICM exists in order to serve the church by discipling and equipping its leaders.
Vision ICM envisions a future where a mature African Church leads the global Church in fulfilling the Great Commission through the practical application of the Great Commandment.
Values Values lie at the heart of what brings people together in order to accomplish a common aim or task. People join with others who share and are motivated by the same values. Values drive behavior, both of individuals, and organizations. While all believers and Christian organizations hold to certain common values, ministries have a set of core values that drive organizational behavior. ICM's core values are:
Love God Love One Another
Integrity Empowerment
Innovation Servanthood
Teamwork Trust
Mission Commitment Continuous Improvement
Commitments
Closely associated with core values are core commitments. An organization's commitments are those unique characteristics that set the organization apart from other organizations doing similar work. Core commitments describe the way the organization looks as it lives out and acts upon its core values in pursuit of its purpose and vision. While core values have more to do with individual behavior, an organization's core commitments reflect the particular way the institution operates in pursuit of its mission. ICM's core commitments are:
Church Centered Focus on serving and equipping the church as God's primary agent for discipling all people.
Discipleship A focus on providing training and equipping in order that others may grow in Christ likeness and help others to do the same.
Leadership A focus on training and equipping leaders who will impact their churches
Inservice Training A commitment to training that involves praxis and continuous application within the context of community.
Quality A focus on satisfying the expectations of learners and team members, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Community A commitment to walking in accountable relationship one with another.
National Leadership A commitment to equip, empower and release national leaders who are committed to fulfilling the vision of ICM.
